2003 Tour
Retrospective
Despite the
fact that certain personnel had to be changed at the start
of the tour, we all had a good time and I couldn't have
wished to have worked with a happier crew. Sometimes there
was so much hilarity on the bus that we'd have to pull
over at the next service station to regroup and collect
ourselves.
Live performance, as always, was taken very seriously.
Ours was no exception-but with such dedication we worked
to improve on everything from lights, sound and
programming throughout. Will Alexander's technical skills
were fantastic. Having brought "The Worlds Most Deadly Synth" - otherwise known as The Big Moog Modular System -
out of storage, making it the playable monolith to the
extent that it could make the most constipated become
incontinent and leap for the nearest receptacle while
blowing the eyebrows off a wasp at 40 feet provided
further inspiration.
At this time of writing I look forward to a spring tour of
the US in 2004. Negotiations are now underway with my
manager and a US promoter. The format of the band may be
different - stand by. Photo's of last tour to follow.
Thanks everyone,
Keith Emerson.
